In our first story, the UK Gambling Commission opens an investigation into the fantasy NFT soccer game Sorare. The country's leading gaming authority is trying to determine whether this platform should have a gambling license.

Sorare is an increasingly popular, blockchain-based NFT game that has raised funding in the amount of $680 million last month. The company has rejected the allegations and strongly denied that its platform has anything to do with regulated gambling. They claim that this has been confirmed by various legal experts the company consulted in every stage of its development.

However, the Gambling Commission has issued a consumer information notice warning players that Sorare is not currently licensed. Furthermore, they advised players to approach every interaction with the platform with caution.

Next up, the Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Western Pennsylvania is now operating under a new name. Penn National Gaming, the company that already owns 3 out of 15 casinos in the state, bought the casino's physical assets in 2014. They've been running the property since 2018 when they acquired former operator, Pinnacle Entertainment.

Now they decided that it's time for a new name. The casino will be called the “Hollywood Casino” which is a brand on several properties belonging to this company. Besides rebranding, the casino will also go through a complete makeover. New owners will add a sportsbook and a new lounge for horse racing bettors. In addition, the PNG will overhaul the casino's dining offering, adding a couple of new restaurants.

In our next story, a group of five criminals has been charged with stealing more than $1.1 million from Atlantic City Casinos. According to the prosecutors, they schemed to steal $1,120,000 by attempting to pass fraudulent checks and exchange them for gaming chips.

The group targeted five casinos in the period between August 26 and 28. Allegedly, two women would present false TD Bank and America's Cashier checks at the casino's cashiers, while three men provided assistance. So far, one 65-year-old woman has been arrested. She was detained in Amsterdam, Netherlands, while the other criminals are still at large. The suspects face several serious criminal charges. If convicted, they're looking at a potential sentence of five to ten years in prison and a fine of $100.000.

In our last story this week, we look at the job position that's becoming increasingly popular in Vegas- a dancing dealer. Victoria Silva, who works at Circa Resort & Casino in Vegas, opened up about what this job entails. Dancing dealers work at the tables just like regular dealers, but from time to time they climb onto a mini platform and do a dancing act.

All the girls who work as dancing dealers are fully certified and have completed the training as well as the dancing audition. The key, according to Veronica, is to build a relationship with players so that they would come back. She added that she loves her job as it allows her to meet new people, earn decent money, and have a lot of fun.
