This presents the perfect business model for expansion into Japan’s second-biggest city after Tokyo. Genting Singapore has earned an “A3” credit rating from Moody’s Investors Service for its overall financial strength. It is also looking to partner with local development firms.

 El Salvador President Moves to Make Bitcoin Legal Tender

Nayib Bukele is the current president of El Salvador. He recently announced he will be proposing legislation that would designate bitcoin as legal tender. This would be the first sovereign nation in the world go this route. The president is also working with Strike to build a modern financial infrastructure in El Salvador. This would be through the use of bitcoin technology. Support for Bukele is strong with the New Ideas party in control of the country’s Legislative Assembly. This also means that any proposed legislation should easily pass and become law. Blockstream is another technology company aiding the process.


Another Shooting at an Illegal California Casino Plagues the Bakersfield Area

Local news sources in Bakersfield released details of a shooting on Thursday, June 3. This incident took place in Oildale at an illegal gambling operation. The victim was shot several times. He remained in serious condition at the time of the news release. In October of last year, two people were shot in the same general area. Along with seven other people, they were tied to a  different illegal casino. Maytham Mnaather was arrested in connection with that shooting. He was charged with several felony counts involving firearms and gambling paraphernalia. Separate shootings in the Bakersfield area connected with illegal gambling took place in 2018 and 2019.

Nebraska’s legislature recently approved gambling expansion. That bill was also signed into law by the governor. The state’s six horse racing tracks would be able to offer both casino gambling and sports betting. Plans to construct the new $220 million WarHorse Casino are on hold while the state works through the regulatory process. This could take several months from start to finish. The actual casino could take two years to build. That is why WarHorse is looking to add 305 slot machines to the simulcast facility at Lincoln Race Course. This conversion can be completed in a few weeks once final approval is obtained.
